just came across this really great website if this sort of thing interests you.
It lists all of AT&T’s old long line stations.
These were critical for the U.S. during the Cold War and most of them have highly sophisticated bunkers located below them. They are abandoned and you can potentially go explore them ;) It’s worth you time to see if one is located close to where you live and pay it a visit.
